The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP)

The Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program (AIPP), which was launched in March 2017, aims to attract newcomers to the Atlantic provinces by providing qualified foreign workers with a road to permanent residency. While most immigrants are lured to the most populated cities of Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, these provinces have plenty of job opportunities, and this programme provides a win-win situation for employers and immigrants.

The Atlantic provinces include:

Newfoundland and Labrador

Prince Edward Island

Nova Scotia

New Brunswick

Processing Time: 6 months

Requirements

You must be a recent graduate of a publicly financed institute in Atlantic Canada or a skilled worker who meets the program’s qualifications to be eligible for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program. You must also show the following documentation:

Once you’ve received a job offer you must

Ask for a copy of the employer’s Confirmation of Designation, or

Tell them about the Atlantic Immigration Pilot and ask them to consider becoming designated, if they aren’t already
